Preath transactions allow payment to be pre-authorised and collected using Tap on Phone.
If you wish to activate preAuth functionality in your terminals, please contact your Viva sales representative. Alternatively, you can contact us directly via our live chat facility(which can be found in your Production Viva self-care account).
Process
Select the dropdown menu at the top of the main screen:
Choose the ‘Preauth’ option:
You can then enter the payment amount, press the ‘Preauthorise’ button and take the customer’s payment as normal:
Lastly, you can choose to print or share a receipt once payment is complete, or simply return to the main screen:
