Introduction
Please note: this payment method is coming soon - it is currently in the pilot phase, in Luxembourg only
Satispay makes transferring money as effortless as sending a message. Send money to your phone contacts and pay in stores in a matter of seconds.
Viva’s POS integration with Satispay allows you to generate a Satispay QR code natively within your POS device. You can then present this QR code for your customers to scan with their mobile device, where they can complete the payment easily and securely.
Some of the main benefits of offering Satispay (for POS) as a payment method are:

- Security: Payments are completed safely within the Satispay environment
User Experience
1. On the POS terminal, the merchant selects (1) the ‘more’ option > (2) the Satispay payment method.
2. The Satispay QR code is then displayed:
3. The customer then scans the QR code with their mobile device to be taken to the Satispay environment to complete their payment
4. Once the customer has completed the payment on their device, a confirmation message is shown on the POS terminal:

- Payment method type: Synchronous - payments are confirmed immediately
- Refunds: Supports partial and full refunds
- Recurring payments: Not yet supported
- Pre-authorizations: Not yet supported
- Restricted MCC: Some Merchant Categories are not eligible to have Satispay (for POS) activated
- Supported countries: Available in France, Italy & Luxembourg (currently in the pilot phase, in Luxembourg only)

- Settlement: Customer payments are deposited next day into your business account for confirmed payments / successful transactions (i.e. have statusId = F)
- Cross-currency payments: Not yet supported
How to activate Satispay (for POS)
Merchants do not need to have an account with Satispay
Merchants can only activate Satispay (for POS) on their own from their Viva account interface. To activate Satispay (for POS), please follow the procedure below:
1. Sign in to your production Viva account
2. Click on Settings > API Access and scroll down to the Satispay (Payment Method) section
3. Click on the Enable Satispay as a payment method button
4. If Satispay (for POS) is enabled successfully, a success message with a green background will be shown at the top-right of the page
Merchant Categories
There are some merchant categories that are not eligible to have Satispay (for POS) activated. If your business is in one of these categories, you will not be able to accept payments through Satispay (for POS):
