Viva gives you the ability to earn back your Acceptance Fees to 0% on your card transactions.
Overview
What is the Acceptance Fees to 0%?
Viva gives the ability to all its business customers across Europe, to reach a zero (0%) transactions Commission.
Viva Terminal & Card combines:
👉 Acceptance and clearance of payments via cards (acquiring)
👉 Usage of Viva Company & Employee Debit Card (issuing)
👉 Applies to both in-store and online transactions (eCommerce)
How it works
- Merchants can accept payments through physical card terminals or through an e-shop.
- Viva.com clears the funds from the sales into the merchant’s account.
- Merchants spend their earnings using their company or employee debit card.
- Every day, viva.com calculates the amount spent and refunds the corresponding amount back to the merchant.
The business customer receives every Sunday an email which informs him
- about the Viva Cashback or
- about the service (in case he doesn’t use the service)
The service is addressed to all our business customers, existing and new, without the need for the customer to apply for the service.
The business customers will benefit from the 0% Acceptance Fees, only when they spend their Viva Account balance coming from their sales, via their Company and Employee debit card.
Acquiring Requirements
Card Present Transactions
- Only consumer cards issued everywhere in the world
- Business cards are excluded
Card Not Present Transactions
- Only consumer cards issued in the EEA
- Business cards are excluded
Excluded Schemes:
- AMEX
- JCB
- Diners
The following are excluded from cashback eligibility:
- ATM withdrawals
- Bill payments (GR only)
- Bank transfers
- Gambling or betting companies
- Merchants selling tickets through more.com
The cashback is credited daily in the merchant’s account. In the primary account of the merchant, labeled as ‘’Viva Cashback.’ Think of it like a yearly circle. On the 1st of January a new circle opens, and you have 365 days to spend your money. At the end of the year, the circle will close, and a new one will open.
Exceptions for the UK Only!
The 0% commission policy no longer applies to transactions related to specific categories and MCCs that have been identified as causing negative revenue. These include:
- Financial institutions – Merchandise and services (6012)
- Securities – Brokers and dealers (6211)
- Tax payments (9311)
- Government services – Not elsewhere classified (9399)

The supported card schemes & Payment Methods are:
- Cards through Visa card scheme
- Cards through Visa Electron card scheme
- Cards through Mastercard card scheme
- Cards through Maestro (including Maestro Bancontact*) card scheme
- IRIS Payments through DIAS (applicable only for Greek merchants)
(*)Maestro Bancontact Belgium, refers to Belgium issued cards (locally), for which the processing is held through Maestro.
